An in home lifestyle newborn session is always such a joy to photograph! While I absolutely love the posed, controlled environment of the studio, there is also something super sweet about a simple white onesie and your comfortable couch that you snuggle on your with your baby every evening.  And baby feet.  Always baby feet.

Meet Ramsey Daniel! Let’s see what his mama says about his first few weeks home and how the family is adjusting to having a new best friend in the picture!

Was Ramsey named after anyone?

Our first born, Roman, was named after the book of Roman’s and the Roman empire, so we needed another strong name to offset Roman. We chose Ramsey named after Rameses, one of the most powerful Egyptian Pharaohs. His middle name, Daniel, is named after one of the most kind, intelligent, caring friends that we have every known who passed away this year.

Who does Ramsey look the most like?

Ramsey looks a lot like his older brother when Roman was an infant. However, Ramsey’s hair is growing in blonde and curly while Roman’s was straight and black.

What has been the best part about being new parents?

Watching our older son become the best big brother! Roan is always watching our for Ramsey and making sure that he is okay. The two of them already have a strong bond.

What is your favorite memory of the first week or two?

Newborn snuggles! I love newborn snuggles.

What has been the most challenging part about being new parents?

Ramsey was losing too much weight at the beginning so waking him up in the middle of the night (even though neither one of us want dot get up) was challenging!

What did you love most about your newborn session?

Andrea was so easy to get along with and made us all feel comfortable. She incorporated everyone into the photos, even Marley, our dog. We are looking forward to our next photo session too. Maybe we will all be getting more sleep by then!

What do you hope to do with all your photos?

We will be handing some out to grandparents, aunts, and uncles as well as putting up a photo collage on a wall at our home. Eventually we will make a newborn photo book.

What would you tell new mom’s who are unsure if they want to have newborn photos done?

The financial commitment is well worth all of the amazing photos you will receive. The newborn start goes so quickly, even just after 6 weeks. Ramsey already loos different and I can look back at the photos from just a month ago and see how much he has changed and grown. It is bittersweet.

Ramsey, I can not wait for your one year session! It is going to be so much fun to see how much you have grown in a year!
