I had the immense pleasure of photographing miss Luella and let me tell you, she is amazing! She was so sweet for her whole session. I’m not sure I even saw her eyes open at all!

Was Luella named after anyone?  

The name was in our family a few generations ago.

Did you decorate a nursery? What was your theme/colors?

Luella’s nursery is light many sage green with pops of pink, gold, silver and while. We chose the color green because it can be used for any future babies, boy or girl! (I love your thinking here Megan!!)

 

Who you do think Luella looks the most like?

She really looks like both of us as babies!  The perfect mix!

 

What has been the best part about being new parents so far? 

We can not believe how much we love her!  We would do absolutely anything for her.

Who was the first person to change a poopy diaper?

Daddy!

Did you know if you were having boy or a girl before delivery day?  

We always felt like we were having a girl, and it was confirmed at our 15 week ultrasound!

What do you plan to do with all your photos? 

We are excited to have prints to hang in a gallery wall along with our other family photos and pictures from our travels.

What has been the most challenging part about being new parents so far? 

Sacrificing (for now!!) some of the things we love to do that aren’t necessarily infant friendly such as biking and hiking.

What did you love most about your newborn session?

We loved sitting back and watching our beautiful baby in sweet outfits and different poses.  The first few days were so crazy we actually packed our lunch to eat during the photos

 

Note from Andrea: I am so glad you felt so comfortable at the studio!  Anyone is always welcome to bring snacks, lunch, or a full 5 course dinner!  But, if you are bringing brownies, cake, or any other sweets, be sure to bring one for me too!

What would you tell new mom’s who are unsure if they want to have newborn photos done? 

We feel like time is already flying by so quickly and we are so excited to have these reminders of our very first days with our baby who has changed our lives forever!

And last but not least, here is mom and dad’s favorite photo from her session! Luella looks so peaceful here. I always wonder what babies are dreaming about when they are in the studio.
