I feel so lucky to have been asked to photograph this amazing family once again! Not only are their two girls super sweet, they have the most handsome little guy. I can tell you one thing, he is going to be doted on like crazy by the girls in this house!
Was Robert named after anyone?
Robert is dad’s middle name, grandpa’s 1st name, and the other grandpa’s middle name. Stanley is a great uncle on mom’s side and the middle name of lots of uncles and cousins on dad’s side.
How is your nursery decorated?
It is decorated with cartoon monsters! We used mostly black and white with pops of yellow, purple, and green.
What has been the best part about bringing home a newborn again?
Falling in love with a new little person and watching our older girls become amazing big sisters. It’s such a special time filled with so much love!
What has been the most challenging part so far?
Learning how to balance the needs of 3 small children while maintaining our own sanity!
What do the girls think about Robert?
Our girls adore Robert! They squabble over helping with diapers and snuggling and giving the occasional bottle of “mama milk”, as they’ve named it! We sometimes think we need to get a bubble for little Robert’s safety because our 1.5 year old loves him SO much that she can’t always contain the force of her love. “Gentle touches” is a phrase that is said a LOT in our household!
What is your favorite memory from the first week or two of having a newborn?
The smell. There is nothing on earth as wonderful as the smell of a newborn.
What did you love most about your newborn session?
Andrea is super patient and a total baby & toddler & preschooler whisperer. She got the older girls to cooperate when I thought it was going to be a disaster getting them to both look at the camera at the same time.
What do you plan to do with all of your beautiful newborn photos?
We’ll have some printed on canvas to add to our walls. We’re also going to make brag books for the grandmothers and have birth announcements made.
What would you tell new mom’s who are unsure if they want to have newborn photos done?
It is worth every penny!! We had our first child’s newborn photos done at a Picture People and while we love them, it wasn’t the relaxing experience that we had with Andrea. It was rushed and the photo quality doesn’t compare. They are only this tiny for such a short time. Having beautiful photos to look back on will never be a bad investment!
