I am so excited to introduce you to sweet Avery Gereau! Isn’t she such a doll? I had the pleasure of meeting her right before Christmas, and it was so fun to add in some sweet seasonal touches to her session!

Was Avery named after anyone?

Gereau is my mothers maiden name.

What has been the best part about being new parents?

Everything! She does something new every day that just fills us with love!

What has been the most challenging part about being new parents?

Learning as you go. Being first time parents challenges you and it is easy to second guess what you are doing on a daily basis! Luckily, we have an amazing support system!

Did you decorate a nursery?

We did! It is gray, teal and coral with elephants.

Who does Avery look the most like?

It’s still hard to tell. We think she looks more like dad but has mom’s nose.

What did you love most about your newborn session?

It was so fun to see all of the different poses. I knew right away the photos were going to be great and it made the anticipation of seeing the final product even more exciting! It was also one of our first outings out of the house and it felt like a win for us as parents because it went so well.

What do you hope to do with all your photos?

We are framing a bunch of them and also started a photo album for her. We love sharing them with family and friends. It is so important to capture this moment in time because she is already changing and growing so fast.

What would you tell new moms who are unsure if they want to have newborn photos done?

They change and grow so fast! I had to make sure that I was able to capture her as a newborn for both myself and our family but also for her to have one day when she is older – maybe even having her own first child.
