I am so excited for you all to meet Nolan! His little poof of hair is to die for!! Im sure you will agree when you see it!
Nolan was such a doll for his session. I could have snuggled him all day!
Keep scrolling to see more of his adorable photos and hear what his mama had to say about her first few days home with baby!
Was Nolan baby named after anyone?
Nolans middle name, James, is after Jeff’s dad who passed away.
Did you decorate a nursery? What was your theme/colors?
We have mint green and gray colors with a safari theme. Lots of elephants and giraffes. Of course the teacher in me has a reading corner with many books for him.
What has been the best part about being new parents?
The best part has been looking at him in disbelief that he is finally here and a baby is something we’ve always wanted. My favorite is cuddling with him and Jeff’s is playing with him and having him pretend to play the drums.
What has been the most challenging part about being new parents?
Lack of sleep has been the most challenging. There were some nights he wasn’t sleeping well so days of pure exhaustion followed.
Who does baby look like most?
I don’t think he looks like just one of us. He’s a perfect mix of both. Sometimes I think he looks like my dad’s baby picture.
Did you know you were having a boy before delivery day?
We knew we were having a boy. My sister planned a reveal party for our parents and us. She had a rubber ducky with a bath bomb on the bottom that turned the bowl of water blue.
Who was the first person to change a poopy diaper?
Jeff changed the first poopy diaper in the hospital. He was the rock star of diaper changes and swaddling while I rested in bed.
What is your favorite memory from the first week or two of having a newborn?
The 2nd bath we gave him at home. We put him in the little tub and right away he pooped all over. Jeff picked him up so I could clean it up and he peed all over Jeff. Then while we were finally cleaning him, Nolan got so mad when we tried to clean his back that he practically stood up. From beginning to end, Jeff and I were laughing and will never forget that bath experience.
What did you love most about your newborn session?
Watching [Andrea] put him into cute little poses while he slept. How patient [she] was and the tricks [she] had to keep him asleep. I also loved the family portraits.
What do you hope to do with all of your beautiful newborn photos?
We are decorating a wall in our living room with his pictures. We will have a “Nolan wall”.
What would you tell new mom’s who are unsure if they want to have newborn photos done?
I would say absolutely do it! They are only this little once and they grow so fast it’s fun to have the memories of them so small and squishy looking. They are all so adorable and Andrea is so fantastic!
Thank you so much for letting me photograph sweet Nolan! I can’t wait to see him grow this year!
