Every year, I get emails from clients praying that I have saved their digital files from sessions long past. Some even 10 years ago! While I do my best to help everyone in this situation, it also makes me a bit sad. We live in a digital world. We save hundreds of photos to our camera roll, screenshot recipes we want to try, books we want to read, and posts we don’t want to forget. We digitize our receipts, our calendar, and our chore list.

As your photographer, I truly believe that the photos we create together are more than just digital files – they are lasting memories that make up your families unique story. They deserve more than disappearing into your camera roll buried under the new store you want to check out and the design elements you want to try in your living room. (I can’t be the only one who uses her camera roll as an idea capture system, right?). Many of us, myself included, use our social media feeds to preserve our memories and to be reminded of them year after year. But the hard truth is, we don’t own these social media platforms. If they disappeared tomorrow, would you feel like you had all your memories saved? I feel like it is important to remind you of the incredible value of printing your photos. Whether it is a beautiful canvas to hang in your living room or a custom album to preserve all of the memories from your session. When your images become tangible items, they will hold more meaning and emotion than digital files ever could.

WHY PRINT YOUR PHOTOS?
Preserve your Memories: Over time, digital files can get lost or corrupted. Printed photos last for generations and are always so much fun to look through!
A Constant Reminder: Having your photos displayed on your walls makes it easy to relive those beautiful moments. Just as you love to display your children’s artwork to give them a sense of pride, photos of your family will accomplish the same.
Create a Legacy:
Printed photos become treasured heirlooms that your children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren can hold in their hands one day. They offer a beautiful way to pass down your family’s story through generations—not just in words, but in images.
Technology Changes:
Remember floppy disks? CDs? Even USB drives are slowly becoming obsolete. Digital storage is constantly evolving, and what feels secure today may be difficult to access tomorrow. A print, on the other hand, doesn’t require an update, charger, or login to enjoy.
Engage the Senses:
There’s something special about holding a photo in your hands, flipping through an album, or walking by a framed print on the wall. Tangible memories engage more of your senses, deepening your emotional connection to the moment they capture. I promise, your children will love looking through an album filled with their photos time and time again!
Home That Feels Like You:
Photos turn a house into a home. They make your space feel personal, warm, and full of life. Surrounding yourself with images of the people you love most adds a sense of comfort and identity to your living space.

I want to help you make sure your memories are displayed properly in a way that makes sense for you and your home. Whether your session was 10 years ago, or 10 days ago, I am ready to help you choose quality products to display.
