Earlier this month, I entered a cover contest over at Lemonade and Lenses. This was the very first contest I have ever entered. The topic for the November cover was family. Since the majority of work is with families, I had a hard time choosing which image I wanted to submit.

After a few weeks, I saw some photographers I follow posting that they were named as honorable mentions in the Lemonade and Lenses cover contest. I was slightly bummed that I didn’t get named as an honorable mention, but didn’t think much of it.

I headed over to the Lemonade and Lenses facebook page to check out all of the honorable mentions. There it was! My image! It was chosen as an honorable mention! I was blown away!

I am so honored to have been chosen and be named among so many other photographers that I respect and admire. I have now been bitten by the bug and can not wait to enter another photography contest!
