What a weird winter we are having, right? We had no snow for the longest time, then got over 12 inches of snow at once, followed by no snow again. Why?? I mean, I am not REALLY complaining because I am not the biggest fan of snow, but I do have a few families who are anxiously waiting for outdoor snow photos this winter and I want to make that happen for them!

Even so, I did get a few other projects in this January. While it isn’t the busiest month for sessions, there is a lot going on behind the scenes that makes the rest of the year run smoothly. Even still, you wont believe the fun we had in the studio this month!

A ROARing good birthday celebration

The month started with celebrating this dino loving girl’s third birthday! I love that her parents wanted to incorporate her current passions into her session to really make it personal. The smile on her face says it all. She had such a fun time showing off all of her dino’s and dinosaur eggs during our time together.

Of course, we also had to get some family photos in the mix too! Why not?

Oh Baby!

Bring on the New Year’s Babies! Little Miss Maya is always going to have a reason to celebrate the New Year – it’s her birthday! She might not have been the first baby of January, but that hardly matters when you are this cute. Big sister Nora was so proud. Her big sister smile says it all for sure.

Oh Boy!

The 18 years between the above photos and these goes by way too fast. One second they are snuggling next to you and the next they are ready to pack up and move out on their own. It hardly seems fair. Mikey and I had a lot of fun creating these senior photos in the studio. His senior year is winding down and his parents are sure to love these photos!

Back to Babies

This little guy is baby # 6 for this family! Wow! While we didn’t get all of the kids in the studio for photos, we did get to spend a lot of time just loving on this little guy. He was wide awake for so long that we got some great photos of him staring at us and his surroundings. I love the eye contact! But, eventually, he gave in and gave us some sleepy vibes too.

Parker is Two!

This girl! She brings all of her personality to every single one of her sessions. Some of that personality doesn’t always match with having pictures done, but it DOES result in some super amazing photos. She is a giggly, happy, strong willed, lovable little girl and photographing her is always such a joy!

January was a fantastic month, and February is already shaping up to be equally amazing!! Which session is your favorite? What do you hope to see more of next month?
