Marisa and Jeremy were bold enough to brave the cold weather and snow filled trails for some lovely engagement photos at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha.  Have you ever been there?  It is truly magical, especially in the winter.

I really feel there is something magical about winter.  Although I won’t lie – I am O.V.E.R. winter at this point.

But seriously, when that soft pristine snow is covering the ground, it seems to drown out everything else around you.  All the outside noise seems to disappear and everything is quiet.  I don’t know, maybe it’s just me, but I find it truly enjoyable.  I could completely do without the cold, the ice and the snow shoveling though.  And I think I would be just as happy somewhere warm, but eh- you gotta make the best of it, right?

During Marisa and Jeremy’s Retzer Nature Center engagement photos, however, we were not the least bit quiet or soft.  We were tramping through the snow, snapping twigs beneath our feet and crunching on snow covered leaves all while giggling and talking about all things wedding!  It was such a fun afternoon, that I can hardly wait for the next time we get together.
