They sound expendable, right? You are busy buying swaddle blankets, putting together the crib, and figuring out how in the world to get that darn car seat in the car correctly. You’re tired, you’re swollen, and the very last thing you want to do is get in front of the camera when all of the focus is on YOU.
Trust me, I get it. I have very few photos from when I was pregnant. And this makes me very sad.
See, this is a big part of your baby’s story! This is where it begins! Someday your daughter is going to want to compare her pregnancy to yours. Someday your son is going to want to show his kids his beautiful momma while she was pregnant with him. This is the real deal, people! You don’t want to skip this step. It is a real part of your story, of growing your family, of the love between you growing! Trust me when I say, you don’t want to miss capturing this time!
I have had the immense pleasure of being part of Michael and Sarah’s story from….well….somewhere in the middle. See, it wasn’t the beginning, because they were high school sweethearts. But, I was there from the day Michael proposed to Sarah at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha, to their beautiful fall wedding at her parents home in Mukwonago, to their pregnancy announcement, and now to this moment. (And spoiler alert, I did their newborn photos too – that post is coming soon!).
These two are some of the sweetest, kindest, most genuine individuals you will ever meet! I feel so lucky to have been able to photograph so many important moments in their lives for them!
