Oh, this project was so special! I am so happy I was able to capture these photos for this sweet little dancer! She has been working so hard on her dance skills and dedicated this dance to her dad!
Let me tell you a little bit about her dad, Joe and his journey. After September 11th, Joe felt like it was his calling to join the Army. He served for over 11 years and and Infantryman and did three tours, one to Afghanistan and 2 to Iraq. During his deployments, he encountered numerous blast and explosions, as well as many concussions. After his third deployment, he began to struggle with his movement and strength. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and early onset dementia at only 28 years old.
